From the idea to the finished humidor – implementation of a one-off production
The one-off production of unique pieces of furniture according to customer requirements is the core business of our family business Gerber GmbH for over 135 years. In craftsmanship, precious individual pieces are made to fit exactly, then and now. You will also find our many years of experience and competence as a cabinet maker in the Gerber Humidorbau.
Our humidors are an expression of individual style and design. Our aim is to combine our sophisticated and proven humidification technology for optimum cigar storage with the quality of handcrafted furniture to unique solutions.
Your wishes – our know-how
At the beginning of each special order are the individual advice and the careful planning of your humidor. The size of the humidor, the interior design as well as the choice of material for the external design are important issues for personal advice. The design of the humidor can pick up on the existing design or form a contrasting stand-alone eyecatcher. We are happy to come to you personally and advise you on site. We also like to work hand in hand with architects and clients on international projects. The close cooperation creates unique pieces of furniture according to your wishes.
Custom-made for a hotel with atmosphere and family tradition
The Humidor shown is a one-off for an owner-managed hotel „Europäischer Hof Heidelberg“ with a popular Smoking Lounge. It was important to our customer that the humidor receive many drawers that can be offered to hotel guests for personal cigar storage. For the selection of the outer decor, we made several patterns from different woods and selected them on site with the customer in order to get a coherent overall picture in color and form. The dark wood of the lounge has also been taken up for the humidor. The smoked oak provides a harmonious contrast to the lighter wood of Spanish cedar inside the humidor. Dipped in atmospheric light, the cigars are skilfully staged. The humidor offers a unique eye-catcher that elegantly completes the hospitable smoker’s lounge. The result is an individual piece of furniture, perfectly tailored to the needs of the customer.
