Camphor oil and other essential substances, which serve as basic substances in perfume production, are extracted from all parts of the plant. Also use for medicinal purposes. The leaves of the camphor tree are eaten by the camphor silkworm, whose cocoons provide natural silk for fishing line and surgical thread. Special Features: The deep dark red, vividly grained wood makes beautiful pictures when put together in cross joints. Very intense odor of camphor, which remains even after veneer production.
